forcibly taken to Israel and deported!! They had no intention of going to Israel in the first place but because their cargo which included items banned by Israel from reaching Gaza, they found themselves in Israel instead. Fresh meat is one of the banned items but frozen meat and vegetables are allowed. Is it because it is possible to make weapons out of fresh meat as opposed to frozen? What has the world turned into? Meanwhile the world is making a lot of noise and very little action is taking place. No wonder Israel behaves the way it is. There are no repercussions. There is no leadership on this issue and it has now become another one of those either you are with them or against them situations. Nobody wants to stand up and say enough is enough, not just to Israel but even to Palestine as well. This thing, that they call war is only making a bad situation worse and nobody is winning. Of course Palestinians are suffering much more than the Israelis but that doesn't make any of what's going on ok. But to deny a child a toy, fresh meat and access to education is gross human rights violation. Children don't choose where they are born and they should not have to chose sides so early in their lives because once they do this war is going to be theirs when they grow up. The world should stop standing besides Israel because by so doing they are condemning Palestinian children to a life of war, walls and bitterness. They are after all just toys and sage is just great for cooking with!!!
Gisha managed to get a partial list of banned and permitted goods into Gaza. The Israeli government has refused to give their full list citing that "concern for national security dictated the continued secrecy of the documents"
